No Quarter downs itself! - Posted by Willem at 09:47 PM
Ok, so it turns out there's nothing to do at level 80 in Age of Conan for now.
Many level 80s in NQ have either quit, or expressed a desire to quit. So, in the interest of not wasting the time of any members, we're done. We're discussing what we'll do next, and we'll hopefully start on it soon. An announcement will be made here when we decide, and the Ventrilo server will still be open to members.
If you have previously been associated with No Quarter, or have a friend in No Quarter, post or contact me for access to the members section. For the most part we'll remain active in something, even it's just Diablo 2, TF2, or CoD4 until we decide what we're doing next.

Well this will be a rather short update, since I need to get back to leveling. Here's the skinny:
Recruitment
Recruitment is open for those of you 40+. If you're 40+, but you have some friends that aren't, we'll likely consider taking both (or all) of you, but we'll address that on a case by case basis. Here's what you can expect from us, and what we would expect from you.
Some of us are hardcore and some of us aren't. Some of us are PvE focused, some of us are PvP focused, and we feel that's the way it has to be in Age of Conan. The important thing to mention here is that we don't want to step on each other's toes. If you focus on PvP, don't expect to hop on one night and get a raid spot with the PvEers. If you only play occasionally, don't expect a raid spot. One might be available, but don't assume that it will be. If you want to be a regular raider with us, you need to want it - bad. We want you to be ready to raid often.
If you log on once a month, you will not cut it for PvP or PvE, and you will be kicked. We want people who enjoy playing.
Many of us have been gaming together for years, we've lead top tier guild in Everquest (Fiends - Veeshan), World of Warcraft (No Quarter - Suramar and Hakkar), and Shadowbane (Aftermath - Carnage). Clearly, once you're in No Quarter you can be in it for life (assuming you don't turn fucking retarded), but we expect you to be as loyal to us, as we have been to each other for the past 5-6 years. If you aren't interested in that, fine, you can still join, but you're missing out on part of what make No Quarter interesting.
Despite what I've said above, do not, for fucks sake, do not think we're a family guild. We are quite possibly one of the most vulgar, offensive guilds you will ever read the guild chat of. Are all of us like that? No. Do we all think it's funny? No. But, do we all appreciate that you can say whatever the fuck you want? Yes. If you are easily offended, we are not for you. But, on the other end of the spectrum, if you sit in guild chat spamming "FUCKING CUNT SHIT I CAN'T FINISH A QUEST WOULD ONE OF YOU FUCKING CUMGUZZLERS COME HELP ME!" you will be kicked. Fast. I mean really fast. So fast you'll think I finger-banged your cat. Vulgar and offensive does not always mean immature, but immature always means guild kick. That reminds me, also. Don't expect to be helped. You likely will be, most of us are very helpful. But don't assume it will happen, especially before you've proven that you're going to stick with us (which means not until 80, pretty much). If you are offended by the relatively tame nature of the previous news post, you won't like us.
There's one last thing. We're recruiting somewhat openly right now, but we reserve every right to kick you the fuck out if we want. It may not be personal. Maybe you just don't fit in. If you're mature, not easily offended, play on a regular basis, and aren't a fucking drama llama, you'll do fine. I'd venture to say you'll even enjoy it.
We generally limit our numbers. We do not like having a bloated guild. We like to be lean and mean. Given some (read: one) of the other guilds on this server, this should be interesting.
If you're interested, head over to the recruitment forums and follow the instructions there. If you can't find the instructions based on that sentence, you probably shouldn't apply.

The IntarWeb Site
It sucks right now. I will be making some minor upgrades to the site soon. Once I hit 80 I'll be putting more effort into writing a nice profile system to go along with our raiding and loot tracking system (which I will also be working on). You can expect to see more information about dkp, or whatever loot system we decide to go with, in the near future.
Our keep
It would have been fucking great to post a week ago and say we had the first keep up, but as some of you may have read, our materials were eaten. We decided to try again yesterday (ballsy move, as apparently they just fixed that issue today) and wouldn't you fucking know it. We have a keep. It's not a first, but we'll have plenty of those later.
Here are some E-Peen shots. Enjoy.

Cheers.
As it was in the beginning... - Posted by Willem at 02:39 PM
We here at No Quarter Inc. have gotten things off to a decent start during our first week on Thog. Some of us have lost a lot of sleep, but it's all for the greater good. I'm proud to say we were one of the first guilds on the server to claim a plot of land for our city, and the most fun in that is that we get to see who our rivals are going to be (yeah we're looking at you, OTG).
Not everything has been perfect, though. As many of you probably know, the traders were out of the game for the last week. This cramps our style a bit since we haven't been able to buy any building blueprints. Finally, the traders went back in today, so we went into action. That lasted about 30 minutes, though, since all the process did was take our materials, and yield us nothing. Fucking travesty, I say. Not to be deterred, we decided to improvise. I asked Norua to lay down some blueprints of our own, and fucking lay down he did. He really surpassed my expectations in every way, and it brought a tear to my eye.
Lady and gents, I present to you the plans for our keep.
